Cultivation and Propagation of Bamboo in the Philippines: Site selection to common problems faced in planting and harvesting bamboo. So unlike chain link fences, which all look the same, bamboo fences are varied and interesting, full of unusual textures and tropical elegance. It is even possible to get this look without installing an entire fence, because Bamboo Fencing can be placed over existing fencing. Bamboo fences are cheaper than aluminum fences, wrought iron fences, or chain link fences. Bamboo is becoming more and more popular as a fencing material, especially among those who are environmentally conscious. These panels come in a variety of heights so they can be used in both small and large lush gardens.

Simply browsing through photographs will give you all the fresh ideas you can imagine. From gorgeous patios and warm and cozy gardens to outdoor lighting and choosing just the right plants for your fencing project. While there are many options for landscape material using different types of wood; only bamboo can make the claim of being a renewable source.

These include pop up gazebos, garden gazebos, wooden gazebos, cheap gazebos, waterproof gazebos, steel gazebos, and metal gazebos. Decorative varieties come in such styles as bead board, finished panels, wood grain, lionite, wainscot, plank panels and project panels. Bead board panels add visual interest and are a great selection to use as an accent.

Among all the major fencing markets such as temporary fence, wire mesh, fence manufacturers, steel fence post, wire fence, portable fence etc, the fastest gains are expected to come from the nonbuilding market, which will benefit from a rebound in street and highway construction. Bamboo is also mold resistant, moisture resistant and is not prone to drying out.

It is often the case that the effect of a Thai home can be undermined by fencing in the grounds that is made of brick or plastic. Bamboo can be cut into half or quarter strips and stacked to make heavy duty fencing. Bamboo can also be cut into thin strips and woven together to make the filling part of the fence. Such outdoor buildings and concrete sections as sheds, power transformers and pool equipment can be hidden and beautified with bamboo fencing. It is a low cost and possible DIY option that makes a lot of sense for a Thai home.

Even though I also live in Orlando and I'm sure bamboo thrives well, I've never tried to grow it because I lack a green thumb. I have hedges and bushes that flourish...but that's about it. Wishing you luck with your bamboo. My Neighbors have bamboo along their back fence and I have always loved the way that it sounds in the wind. Here in Orlando, the fun thing about bamboo is that it is easy to grow whereas in Thailand being easy to grow makes it a pest. Ralph and I feel very fortunate to have Jennifer helping us at Beautiful Bamboo. Let Jennifer show you around and answer your questions about which bamboo would best meet your landscaping or bamboo project needs.

But using bamboo poles rather than wooden materials for your backyard is not only good for your backyard's style; it is also very good for the environment. This is because, unlike hardwood, bamboo is one of the earth's most easily renewable resources. Harvesting bamboo as building material causes a lot less damage to local ecosystems than traditional hardwood logging. So rather than contribute to a problem, many people looking to spice up the look of their backyards while going green might opt for using bamboo poles instead of hardwood boards.
