Bamboo fencing is a decorative and environmentally friendly alternative to chain link or wood. Because bamboo grows so quickly, the production of many bamboo products, including bamboo shades, is ecologically friendly. If you are looking to cover a larger window, or using bamboo shades for different purposes, you can find higher quality or larger size shades. Bamboo shades are quite versatile and can be found hanging in open doorways, and being used as room dividers. There is no need to buy special cleaning brushes or cleansing agents to clean bamboo shades. Although using bamboo shades are nothing new, hundreds of styles, and patterns have become available as their popularity has increased.

We also have Bamboo paneling used in Interior Wall linings - Interior wall paneling: Bamboo Matting / Woven bamboo panels / Bamboo Ply - Be woven by bamboo thin strips - are treated and dried at 6% moisture content. These fences panels are extremely durable and can have a life span of around 20 years as long as the panels don't rest directly on the ground. Like any natural product, in time, bamboo will dry out and may even begin to crack when exposed to sun and weather. Some panels are made completely of 100% bamboo, while other panels may be made using wood for the framing.

It is often the case that the effect of a Thai home can be undermined by fencing in the grounds that is made of brick or plastic. Bamboo can be cut into half or quarter strips and stacked to make heavy duty fencing. Bamboo can also be cut into thin strips and woven together to make the filling part of the fence. Such outdoor buildings and concrete sections as sheds, power transformers and pool equipment can be hidden and beautified with bamboo fencing. It is a low cost and possible DIY option that makes a lot of sense for a Thai home.

Palm trees not only look great and compliment the bamboo fencing, but their large leaves provide a natural shade, for when you want to take a break from the hot summer sun. Wicker and bamboo lounge furniture are perfect for poolside seating in a tropical backyard. Though hated by many because of its invasiveness, I've always wanted a stand of bamboo so I could use it for projects. You've presented some neat ideas for using it here, helping me realize I need to get started on a container to hem in my own little stand of this amazing plant. I'd love to see some of your own projects or maybe some of your own experiences in working with bamboo to expand this hub.
